- This year 36 students have enrolled for the Certificate in General Studies, 23 in the Humanities option and 13 in Science. We wish them a happy and successful year of study.
- Claire Dowling who has been such an important part of the Downtown Centre team has left us this year to take up a new post. We wish Claire every success in her new job.
- LIT has just held its annual Careers Fair this week which showcased employment and training opportunities with a wide range of employers.
- UL Faculty of Science and Engineering will be running a series of FREE evening events where graduates will talk about their careers. - The next meeting of the Adult Learners' Forum of Ireland will take place on the 26th October 2011 in The Ashling Hotel, Parkgate St, Dublin 8, and it is open to any adult learner who is interested in seeing how his/her voice can be heard, and who is looking for ways to organise locally to build a local learner voice. Learners from all backgrounds, involved in any form of adult and community education, are welcome to attend.
